To find the percentage is very simple, it is completed by dividing the given amount by the total amount & then multiplying by hundred. Without dividing it by 100 they can’t calculate the percentage of a number.

Find percentage: -

The formula of percentage is given below: -
Percentage= Given amount/ Total amount X 100

The symbol of percentage or percentage is denoted by %.
The unit of percentage is also percentage (%).
To calculate percentage of a given number they must always divide it by hundred, it a constant in the percentage formula.

For example: - If Ravi scores 25 out of 50 in math they can find the percentage of his marks by dividing 25 by 50 which comes to be 1/2 & then multiplying it by 100 which gives us the percentage of his marks in math which is50%.
25/50 X 100=50%
